Volunteering

Without volunteers GLADE wouldn’t be the success it is today

From children and young people to teachers and members of the community, or work experience to visitors from overseas, people with many different skills and experience have supported GLADE by volunteering.

Volunteering is a great way to build confidence, especially if you have been out of work for a while, or maybe you want to learn and practice new skills, either way, volunteering for a well respected organisation like GLADE always looks good on your CV. Stay with us for a minimum of three months and we’ll back you up with a reference.

GLADE especially welcomes volunteers from minority ethnic communities and diaspora communities.

Policy

GLADE is an equal opportunities employer and will not knowingly discriminate against anyone who applies to become a volunteer or a paid member of staff.

We do operate within Charity Commission and Companies House requirements, so have a Volunteer Policy and Employing Ex Offenders Policy both are reviewed regularly.

Opportunties

A variety of opportunities exist within GLADE; whether you are interested in community activities, education, office/administration or becoming a trustee… we’re sure you’ll find some area of our work that will interest you. If we don’t have a specific vacancy when you enquire, we will do our best to offer you a suitable alternative.
