DESCRIPTION:Universal Children's Day takes place annually on November 20.[3
 ] First proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954\, it was
  established to encourage all countries to institute a day\, firstly to pr
 omote mutual exchange and understanding among children and secondly to ini
 tiate action to benefit and promote the welfare of the world's children.\n
 \nThis day is observed to promote the objectives outlined in the Charter a
 nd for the welfare of children. On November 20\, 1958 the United Nations a
 dopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child.[4] The United Nations a
 dopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20\, 1989 and
  can be found on the Council of Europe website.[5]\n\nIn 2000\, the Millen
 nium Development Goals outlined by world leaders in order to stop the spre
 ad of HIV/AIDS by 2015. Albeit this applies to all people\, the main objec
 tive is with regard to children.[4] UNICEF is dedicated to meeting the six
  of eight goals that apply to the needs of children so that they are all e
 ntitled to basic rights written in the 1989 international human rights tre
 aty.[6] UNICEF delivers vaccines\, works with policymakers for good health
  care and education and works exclusively to help children and protect the
 ir rights.[6]\n\nIn September 2012\, the Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon of 
 the United Nations led the initiative for the education of children.[7] He
  firstly wants every child to be able to attend school\, a goal by 2015.[7
 ] Secondly\, to improve the skillset acquired in these schools.[7] Thirdly
 \, implementing policies regarding education to promote peace\, respect an
