DESCRIPTION:The World Day for Audiovisual Heritage takes place every 27 Oct
 ober. This commemorative day was chosen by UNESCO (the United Nations Educ
 ational\, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 2005 to raise of awaren
 ess of the significance of and preservation risks recorded sound andaudiov
 isual documents (films\, sound and video recordings\, radio and television
  programmes).[1] [2] Events are held in many countries\, organised by nati
 onal and regional sound and film archives\, broadcasters\, museums and lib
 raries\, and major audiovisual associations including theAssociation of Mo
 ving Image Archivists (AMIA)\,[3] International Council on Archives (ICA)\
 ,[4] International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA)[5]
  and International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF)).[6]\n\nThe main obj
 ectives of designating the date of 27 October were listed by UNESCO:\n\n 	
 raising public awareness of the need for preservation\;\n 	providing oppor
 tunities to celebrate specific local\, national or international aspects o
 f the heritage\;\n 	highlighting the accessibility of archives\;\n 	attrac
 ting media attention to heritage issues\;\n 	raising the cultural status o
 f audiovisual heritage\;\n 	highlighting audiovisual heritage in danger\,
