What is Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning?
Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning (2018 – 2021) supports schools internationally to learn about and collaborate on the big issues that shape our world.
GLADE workers have been appointed as Local Advisors to schools and providers of Intermediate and In-Depth teacher development courses. Information on these will be provided shortly, in the meantime, check out a couple of the courses available free to teachers, TAs, HLTAS, EYFS practitioners ad FE staff in state-funded establishments.
History
The previous Connecting Classrooms programme, ran from 2015–2018, and built the capacity of around 45,000 teachers and 12,000 school leaders worldwide supporting them to integrate a range of core skills into the curriculum and included face-to-face/online learning training, professional partnerships, visit funding, template projects.
Connecting Classrooms 2015-2018 professional development offer for teachers and school leaders in participant countries was to support them to integrate a range of core skills into the curriculum, with a focus on:
- digital literacy
- critical thinking and problem solving
- creativity and imagination
- student leadership
- collaboration and communication
- citizenship
