People of all ages around the world view petrochemicals and their by-products extremely negatively. The reality is that modern life would not be possible without the many roles they play around us.
Produced as the official film of UNESCO’s International Year of Chemistry 2011, this film illustrates the value of petrochemicals and plastics in the everyday lives of young people globally. More specifically, the film was designed to show that petrochemicals give people around the world access to: water, food, energy, health and hygiene, sustainable housing and transport, communication and education.
