Bittersweet is a stop motion animation about the daily routine of Alima, a 14-year-old girl who was trafficked from Mali to become an enslaved child in a West African cocoa plantation. The story reveals the everyday struggles of enduring the arduous and hazardous labour of a slave’s life.
