The town of Crawley has one of the largest South Asian communities in the south. ‘The New British’ uses the testimony of 8 Asian migrants who are now settled in the new town and tells of their reasons for coming to the UK, the struggles they have had to overcome and the difficulties that still face them. More importantly, in difficult times, it tells of a town that was prepared to accept them.
