What We Are Leaving Behind in Iraq is a photo-essay produced by Alice and Lincoln Day, documenting the story of U.S soldier Michael Fitzpatrick’s post in Iraq. During his time in Iraq he took over 3000 images showcasing the destruction and damage being left behind as a result of years of warfare. These damages are causing long term irreversible effects which are having devastating impacts on the natural environment. The question is why are we not taking responsibility for this?
